Scott MacIntyre has been voted off during American Idol Top 8 week.

Scott received the lowest number of votes from viewers during the week’s voting period.

Along wth Scott in the bottom 3 were Lil Rounds and Anoop Desai.

The judges were not impressed with Scott’s earlier performance of “The Search Is Over” by Survivor, with Simon Cowell calling the song and guitar playing atrocious and saying that Scott needed to go back to the piano.

They chose not to “save” him after his repeat performance of the song on the results show.

Paula says “To me tonight was another impressive lovely performance….you work harder than most people on the stage…the piano may be a bit of a crutch now…mix it up a little.”

Simon thought that Scott wasn’t “choosing the right songs.” Scott says he lost a lot of hat picks in the past couple of weeks.

Randy says “For me, it’s not the songs…I’m looking for those hot unbelievable vocals from you.”

Kara says “We want you to up your game a little bit…you bring class and poise to that stage.

Scott picked “Keep The Faith” for his Top 13 song, and performed with a grand piano.

Kara liked Scott performing on the piano as well as his song choice, Paula thought the performance was lovely, Simon hated the song choice but liked Scott’s singing and performance, Randy thought the performance was good but safe.
