Lil Rounds and Anoop Desai have been voted off during Top 7 week 2 of American Idol Season 8.

Lil and Anoop received the lowest number of votes from viewers during the week’s voting period.

Along with Lil and Anoop in the bottom 3 was Allison Iraheta.

The judges were not impressed with Lil’s performance of “I’m Every Woman” by Chaka Khan, nor Anoop’s performance of “Dim All the Lights” by Donna Summer.

The judges had used their “save” on Matt Giraud last week, which is why 2 contestants were eliminated this week.

Randy thought it was “Interesting, ambitious, it got better after you hit your power range.”

Kara says, “We all know you’re a great singer…we get the Lil we know in the second half.”, giving Lil props for standing her ground on song choice.

Paula thought Lil looked beautiful, “It would have worked better if you didn’t sing two verses.”

Simon thought she should have done an R&B twist.

The Top 13 show was kicked off by Lil Rounds, who picked “The Way You Make Me Feel” for her performance, and sported a floral pinkish white outfit.

Randy really liked the way Lil gave new life to the song, Kara also enjoyed the performance and hoped to hear Lil on the radio, Paua liked her make up  and outfit, Simon thought the performance was good but hated her attire.
