Danny Gokey has been voted off during Top 3 week of American Idol Season 8.
Danny received the lowest number of votes from viewers during the week’s voting period.
Danny’s performances of “You Are So Beautiful” and “Dance Little Sister” were not enough to put him through to the finale.
That leaves Kris Allen and Adam Lambert to face off in the finale next week for the title of American Idol Season 8 winner.
Last week (Top 4), Allison Iraheta was eliminated.

Rezano yes, I am a fan here in Brazil, and I love very much to Adam, he inspires me, but unfortunately I can not vote because of the distance :/ BUT I’M HERE CHEERING FOR HIS VICTORY !! , he deserves … so America, VOTE FOR ADAM, do not forget! he needs the votes of his fans, I love you *-* ADAM!
I would like to take this opportunity to wish continued success to Adam Lambert, much love and success to him - he has a very unique charismatic, sexy, lovable, humble, friendly, fearless ability about him that I admire from way deep and beyond….I hope he finds true love in his life and live a happy fulfilling one with whomever makes him happy - I am waiting for his music - I am ready to buy all of it…..LOVE YOU ADAM, BEST OF LUCK TO YOU TOMORROW NIGHT - I WILL BE VOTING MY FINGERS OFF FOR YOU LIKE I DO EACH AND EVERY WEEK - GOOD LUCK AGAIN! I read where another fan says if Adam does not win this competition on Wednesday he/she will shoot someone - but I know I would definitely not watch American Idol again in my lifetime - my interest will definitely be dead and buried instantly.
I was not watching it this season until I passed by the television one night when Adam was singing Michael Jackson’s “Black or White” - and that caught my attention until today….. I am so into this guy he amazes me and a whole lot more fans like me. Adam’s fans got some MAD LOVE for him …. He is the best of the best there is and he will go far in life!
I am glad Danny was voted off - he was apparently making waves for Adam with the other contestants like sloppy Michael Sarver. Michael is so clumsy don’t even know how he got on the show in the first place. Adam is a genuinely lovable person, nothing to do with his sexuality and making comments that he (Danny) loves Michael in a “Godly way” is like trying to kick dirt in Adam’s eyes - but he will prevail - GOD JUDGES US ALL - SO AS MUCH CHURH MUSIC DIRECTOR THAT DANNY IS - HE IS EVIL IN HIS HEART AND GOD KNOWS THAT! SAME GOES FOR MICHAEL SARVER - HE NEEDS TO GO BACK TO THE OIL FIELDS HE IS TOO SLOPPY FOR THE MUSIC INDUSTRY AND HE WILL GO NO WHERE.
adam lambert, whether you sing a soft ballad or a rock song, you bring your own style that resonates in peoples’ hearts, with that beautiful, powerful voice! and that amazing sound inspires passion in your fans, and i am one of them. i will be voting for you hundreds of times tuesday nite. remember to take deep breaths, and get plenty of rest, and know that you are loved, adored and supported by your loyal fans from around the world! luv ya babe!
