Matt Giraud has been “saved” by the judges during American Idol Top 7 week.

Matt received the lowest number of votes from viewers during the week’s voting period.

Along wth Matt in the bottom 3 were Lil Rounds and Anoop Desai.

The judges were not impressed with Matt’s earlier performance of “To Really Love a Woman” by Bryan Adams, with Randy Jackson calling it pitchy and saying that “you fell down in more places than you won tonight… it wasn’t one of your best performances”.

However, they decided to “save” him after his repeat performance of the song on the results show.
